Mr. Carter at 6 Months

It's weird to think that I have a 6 month old son. I feel so old! Carter apparently doesn't want to stay a baby because he is sure trying to do things fast and grow up quick. He crawls everywhere, he eats baby food, he gives kisses, he laughs like crazy, he hates being inside (takes after his parents), he loves books, he loves to play with balls, and he sleeps great! Lately he has been throwing tantrums because he wants us to hold him all the time, so we have had to let him cry it out on the ground until he eventually goes to play with his toys. I wish he would be content with playing on his own, but he doesn't care about toys very much. Cragen and I may have to invest in a new toy that he will actually like and want to play with, but what?!I am excited for the spring time to come so that we can take Carter outside! I know Carter would love to go on walks, hikes, picnics, and just be out in the sun. Carter and I have been getting cabin fever here in Rexburg, and I think that has a lot to do with why he has been so fussy lately. Sometimes I take him with me to the gym and I walk with him around the indoor track and he loves it! I can tell that he is going to be one of those kids who needs to do active things to be happy. Cragen and I are excited for that because we can play sports with him, take him outdoors, and teach him to fish and hunt! Well, the fishing/hunting thing is more of an exciting thing for Cragen, but I will have fun coming along with them!
Despite all the frustrating times, we love Carter to death. And even though he gets very mad he also gets very happy and smiley and laughs like crazy everyday! I cant believe in another 6 months he will be eating birthday cake!! Here are his 6 month stats from his doctor appointment: Weight=18.8 lbs (76 percentile), Height=26.5 inches (56 percentile), Head=17.6 inches.

  1. He is seriously such a little cutie!! As for a suggestion on a toy for him, we got Adelaide a jumperoo and it is fantastic. It's basically an exersaucer that bounces, so they get to jump and get out energy yet it still has toys around it to keep them busy as well. Good luck finding something for him!
